MIAMI, Fla. (June 29, 2020) – Inter Miami CF today announced it has entered into a new multi-year partnership with Baptist Health as it looks to restart its inaugural season in Major League Soccer (MLS) in July 2020.

Baptist Health, a Founding Partner, will serve as the Official Medical Team, Hospital System and Sports Medicine Provider for the Club’s MLS and USL League One teams, as well as the Inter Miami CF Academy teams.

Baptist Health has also committed to becoming the first-ever presenting jersey sponsor of the Inter Miami CF Academy ahead of the 2020-21 season, in an effort to support youth development in South Florida.

“We’re thrilled to announce this partnership with Baptist Health, who has gone above and beyond to take care of our community during these times,” said Inter Miami CF COO and Sporting Director, Paul McDonough. “Our players receive top sports medicine and orthopedic care from the elite medical team at Baptist Health and we are excited to extend this level of care across our organization, including the next generation of players in South Florida.”

Fort Lauderdale CF will launch its first season in USL League One play on July 18, the league announced last week. The USL League One team will serve an important role in bridging the gap between the Academy and MLS team, allowing developing players the opportunity to continue advancing in the sport in a competitive and professional league.

The Academy will resume under a new structure and format for the 2020-21 season with over 120 youth players ages 12 to 19, representing communities all over South Florida. The Club will announce more details in the coming weeks.
